The Diplomatic Council Benelux has the pleasure to announce their “DC Planet in Transition” Symposium which will be organized on Friday 1st September 2017 at the Wereldmuseum during the start of the 40th Anniversary of World Port Days in Rotterdam.

The UN Sustainability Goals are giving us the framework for the new ‘normal’ whereas the DC Benelux team is providing a platform for frontrunners into concrete local, regional and (inter-)national actions thereby aiming at horizontal multi-stakeholder co-creation.
Our key note speakers at the symposium will address their views and share their concrete actions in the fields of social transition, energy transition and raw material transition

DIPLOMATIC COUNCIL
The Diplomatic Council (DC) is a United Nations (UN) accredited, global Think Tank founded with the objective to serve as a bridge between diplomacy, economy and society.  The Diplomatic Council is a United Nations registered Civil Society Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and shall follow the principles of the charter of the United  Nations Organization. The respect of human rights and fundamental freedom of people without differentiation in races, gender or religion should be cultivated and  strengthened. The Diplomatic Council belongs to the “integrated Civil Society Organizations” (iCSO) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs  (DESA) which is responsible for the interaction between civil society organizations like the Diplomatic Council and the United Nations Organization.
